I too echo the same sentiments as Marybeth, Anne and Tom. Even with all the yearly news I was still very impressed by the list of her accomplishments. She surely must have had a very good upbringing. Katie will be remembered as a person who contributed more than her family fair share as a loving mother of Alison and Andrew and wife of Mike. As having the energy and passion to obtain a Ph.D. and becoming a teacher well though of by her students. Also as a publisher I her field and sharing new learning experiences with her family and students by taking them on trips to India and China. Most of all, Katie will be remembered by us as the quiet little girl with the big smile that provided steady companionship to Aunt Mary on the trips to McKeesport. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
