My earliest memories of Katie were her trips to McKeesport with her grandma, Mary. I see Katie as a little girl holding her grandma’s hand as she walked up the porch steps to visit her great grandmother, Kate Briggs. Katie always had a smile on her face, a smile that grew wider as she became an adult. She was warm and inviting at our Briggs Family Reunion held at Bob & Joanne’s house about 8 years ago. I especially recall the close bond she had with her children. It was obvious to all, that Alison and Andrew were her priorities and meant the world to her.
